Iran Press/ Asia: Islami Andolan Dhaka Metropolitan Branch held a protest march and rally in the capital yesterday evening. After the rally, the procession starts from Baitul Mukarram North Gate and ends at Shantinagar via Paltan Junction. On April 18, two Muslim construction workers were beaten to death by Hindus in Madhukhali, Faridpur. The local union chairman led the mass beating.
On April 19, locals protested by blocking the road demanding justice for the murder of the Muslim youth. Another person was killed in police firing during the protest. BGB was deployed at the spot after massive clashes between locals and police.
On behalf of the Faridpur district administration, a reward has been announced to hand over to union chairman Shah Asaduzzaman Tapan and UP member Ajit Kumar Biswas who led the murder. 219
