Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said that Israeli regime is a racist and occupying regime and that is why Iran opposes it.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran said in a speech at the conference on interfaith dialogue and gathering of Lebanese religious scholars in Beirut, on Tuesday: "The Islamic Republic does not support any sectarian or religious views, and opposes the Israeli regime."

Esmaeili stated: "According to the Leader of the Revolution, all genuine Palestinians, not immigrants, should determine their own destiny in a real democratic process."

The minister also said: "Iran's regional policy is based on the freedom of all nations and their right to self-determination."

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran arrived in Beirut on Saturday at the invitation of Lebanon’s Minister of Culture Muhammad Wissam Al-Murtadato to participate in the Iranian Cultural Week in Lebanon.

in a meeting with the Iranian minister, Lebanon’s Minister of Culture had earlier said that his country was eyeing to expand and enhance cultural cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
