Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Ministry of Health Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour on Tuesday, May 26 reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.
Jahanpour said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to May 26 in the country, 1,787 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 139,511."
Fortunately, 109,437 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far, Jahanpour added.
The Spokesman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 57 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 7,508 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
He stated, "2,567 patients are in a critical condition."
"So far, 837,090 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokesman said.
