Iran Press/ Asia: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the Chief Ministers of seven states worst hit by the Covid-19 crisis to make a critical assessment of the 1-2-day lockdowns that several states have been imposing, and the adverse impact these have on economic activity. The Prime Minister stressed on the need for states to strengthen their tracing- tracking strategy to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.
A coronavirus vaccine being developed by Johnson & Johnson started phase-3 clinical trials in the United States on Wednesday, becoming the fourth company to reach this stage. The candidate vaccines of AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Moderna are already undergoing phase-3 trials in the US, though there is a pause on the AstraZeneca trials for the time being.
Globally, over 32.000,000 million people have been infected while 981,967 have succumbed to the virus. Also, 23,679,970 people have recovered so far.
