Gen. Salami:

Tehran-(IP) Speaking at the 17th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Commander Martyr Ahmad Kazemi, Chief Commander of IRGC said that today enemies trying to prove Iran is a deprived country, and its map is in their thinking room to dominate and control it.

Iran Press/Iran News: Hossein Salami said: "By looking at the recent events, anyone would understand that the enemies wanted to burn down the houses, and shops, and halt the country's movement as if it was a world war, but failed."

Martyr Ahmad Kazemi was born in 1958 in Najafabad, Isfahan and, like other young people, was engaged in education. With the emergence of the sparks of the Islamic Revolution, he fought alongside the nation against the oppressive imperial regime, and in the twenty-third spring of his life, he went to Kurdistan in early 1959 to suppress the internal enemies of the revolution. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he was one of the first people to join the IRGC and was one of the brave, energetic, managerial, and creative commanders.

Martyr Kazemi, with the start of the imposed war, appeared on the fronts of Abadan with a group of 50 people and began the fight against the invading enemy. From the very beginning, he took command of one of the fronts of Abadan and had an important responsibility in the siege of Abadan and in one of the axes of the operation.

A Falcon airplane carrying military officials of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces, including IRGC Ground Forces Commander Ahmad Kazemi, crashed on January 9, 2006, killing all 11 people on board.

The Armed Forces headquarters issued a statement citing the failure of the plane’s two engines as the cause of the crash.
