Military and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Iran has a special dynamic, the Russian Deputy Defence Minister said at a meeting with Iran's Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

The meeting between Alexander Fomin and Ali Mohamed Abdullahi took place on the sidelines of the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security on Tuesday.

During the talks, the sides noted the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral relations in the area of military and military-technical cooperation, identified promising areas of cooperation, and outlined ways for their implementation.

"Thank you for being together and together at today's event. I would also like to thank all your military, and political leaders for the special dynamics of the development of relations in the military and military-technical sphere, including in spite of the numerous sanctions that have been in place for many, many decades," said the Russian Deputy Defence Minister.

Colonel-General Alexander Fomin noted the importance of the Russian-Iranian partnership to ensure stability and regional security.

In turn, Brigadier General Abdullahi noted the commitment of Iran's top leadership to developing comprehensive cooperation with Russia.
