Tehran (IP) - Iran never left the negotiating table, and the Westerners put hurdles in the negotiations by a resolution in the IAEA Board of Governors, the Iranian President said on Tuesday.

Iran PressIran news: President Raisi on Tuesday blamed Western parties for hindering the nuclear deal and urged the US to act logically and rationally to reach the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action).

President Raisi, at a ceremony attended by the Friday Prayers leaders in Tehran, said that Iran never left the negotiating table.

"It was the Westerners who put hurdles in the way of the talks while the negotiations were underway by issuing a resolution in the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)," he added.

"The conclusion of the talks requires the other party's will above all," the President stressed, adding that "Iran has adopted a sensible and rational stance."

Iranian President said that it is clear that if the other side behaves logically and rationally, the negotiations can lead to a result.

The IAEA's Board of Governors adopted a resolution in early June, accusing Iran of not cooperating with the nuclear agency.
