Police said that at least three Israelis have been killed and four others wounded in a stabbing attack near Tel Aviv by unknown assailants.

Israeli police said they launched a massive search for the assailants, setting up roadblocks and dispatching a helicopter.

The attack, coming on the Zionist regime's Independence Day, was the latest in a string of deadly attacks in the occupied territories in recent weeks.

No person or group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.

The Zionist regime began escalating its recurrently-deadly attacks against Palestinians in the run-up to the Holy month of Ramadan and sustained the violence throughout the fasting month, stirring up anti-Tel Aviv sentiments throughout the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas applauds the attack in Elad.

“The attack in Elad is a response to our people’s rage over the occupation’s attack on our holy sites,” Hamas says.

“The storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque can’t go unpunished," Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said. “The heroic operation in Tel Aviv is a practical translation of what the resistance had warned against.”
