Tehran (IP) - Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister Henrik Thune on Saturday met with Ali Asghar Khaji, the Iranian foreign minister’s senior adviser for special political affairs, during his visit to Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister Henrik Thune on Saturday met with Ali Asghar Khaji, the Iranian foreign minister’s senior advisor for special political affairs, during his visit to Tehran.

Khaji and Thune discussed Yemen’s domestic and foreign developments during the meeting. They also exchanged views about the common stances of Iran and Norway regarding how to resolve the Yemeni crisis peacefully.

The Iranian foreign minister’s senior advisor for special political affairs welcomed the implementation of a temporary truce in Yemen and underlined the need to continue cooperation to fully lift the siege of Yemen, put a complete and permanent end to war, and resume political talks between Yemeni factions.

Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister, for his part, referred to his country’s latest efforts to support the political settlement of the Yemen crisis, saying they are meant to bolster measures by the UN chief’s special envoy for Yemen.
