Tehran (IP) - Iran's teenage girls' handball team won the Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship with a victory over Syria.

Iran PressAsia: Today (Wednesday), the Iranian girls' handball team defeated Syria 36-21 in its fourth match at the Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship.

The Iranian girls could win the championship with four consecutive victories with this victory.

This is the first Iranian handball championship for men and women in Asia.

The Iranian team had won its last three games against Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and India and won the Asian championship with four victories.

The ninth round of the Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with five teams from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, and Iran, and the top two teams won the quota for the 2022 World Cup in Georgia.
