Tehran (IP) - A group of peace activists commemorated the anniversary of Rachel Corrie's martyrdom in Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Rachel Corrie, a 23-year-old American peace activist and a member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), was killed by an Israeli army bulldozer in the Gaza Strip in March 2003.

Nasser Abushirif, a representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Tehran, was one of the speakers at the ceremony.

"The Israelis deliberately bulldozed and martyred Rachel Corrie, a crime for which no killer or killers have yet been tried," Abu Sharif said. According to the Iran Press news agency, Forouz Rajaeifar, a peace activist, was another speaker.

In the final statement, the participants called to prosecute the perpetrators.
