The World Food Programme, which stands ad the food-assistance branch of the United Nations, has warned that Yemen’s food reserves are rapidly dwindling, more than half of the country’s population are severely hungry.

Iran PressAmerica: According to the World Food Programme, the ongoing war and deepening economic crisis has pushed millions of Yemenis into poverty. Due to the deteriorating situation and the epidemic, 20 million people in Yemen are currently in need of various forms of humanitarian assistance or protection.

UN also reported that fighting is currently fierce in Marib, Jawf, Bayda, Shabwa, Hodeidah, and other provinces, making it difficult to carry out humanitarian aid work; military conflicts in Hajj, Dali, and Taiz provinces are still ongoing Continuing, in the first week of January this year.

According to this report, more than 500 people fled their homes every day in the three Hajj, Dali, and Taiz provinces, increasing the number of refugees.
