Tehran (IP) - According to the latest monthly report of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Iranian heavy crude oil price last month (October 2021) increased by about 11 percent.

Iran PressEurope: Iranian heavy crude oil price in October reached $82.14 per barrel, which was $8.9 or 6.9 percent higher than $74.08 last September.

The average price of Iranian heavy crude oil since the beginning of 2021 has been $68.17 compared to $39.7 in the same period in 2020.

The value of the OPEC oil basket in October increased by $8.23, or 11.1%, compared to September, reaching $82.11 per barrel. The value of the OPEC oil basket increased for the second consecutive month due to further improvements in market fundamentals and higher base prices.

The average value of the OPEC oil basket since the beginning of 2021 has been $68.33 per barrel, which shows an increase of $27.77, or 68.4%, compared to $40.57 in the same period in 2020.
