Tehran (IP): The Chairman of the Shia Scholars Council of Afghanistan has stressed that unity preserves human dignity.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, Ayatollah Mohammad Hashem Salehi, said: “Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) established a brotherhood between Muslims.”

Salehi added: “Unity is the foundation of Islam, so Islam does not accept worship without unity, because unity is the principle and root of Islam.”

He added: “All of us must take steps towards unity; the officials in power are more responsible in this direction than the others.”

"Afghanistan has been oppressed for more than four decades, being involved in suicides, explosions, and tragedies," he said. 

All Muslims have to defend Afghanistan and the Afghan people, he noted.
