Moscow (IP): Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces met with the chief of Russia's General Staff (CGS) Army General Valery Gerasimov on Monday to discuss the strengthening of military-defense relations.

Iran PressEurope: The expansion of bilateral military and defense relations, the development of cooperation in regional and international affairs, the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism, are on the agenda of talks between the two Chiefs of Staff. Major General Mohammad Bagheri is also scheduled to meet with Russian Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu.

Bagheri visits Moscow at the head of a high-ranking military delegation to develop cooperation with the Russian Federation.

He traveled to Moscow at the official invitation of the Russian Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu. 

Reza Khosravi Moqaddam, the military attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation, said Bagheri is scheduled to discuss and exchange views with the Russian officials on the development of cooperation and joint defense and military relations, the fight against terrorism, and investigating regional and international changes.

Before he visited Moscow, Bagheri visited Pakistan.
