Tehran (IP) - The head of the Palestinian Authority called on the international community to mobilize to counter the attacks and the Zionist regime's continued aggression against Islamic shrines, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Iran PressMiddle East: Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has instructed Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, to take immediate and comprehensive action to counter the Israeli occupation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Holy Shrine.

Abbas also called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities to prevent Israeli aggression.

The order of the head of the Palestinian Authority was issued after the recent ruling of the Israeli regime court to allow the Zionist settlers to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Quds district court ruled on Tuesday that the presence of a limited number of Jewish worshipers in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque is not a crime, provided their prayers are held in silence.

The decision of the Zionist court caused widespread political and popular anger, and hundreds of people demonstrated inside Al-Aqsa Mosque after Friday prayers and condemned the decision.

Meanwhile, some Israeli media reported on Friday that the Israeli Central Court had overturned the ruling.
