Pres Rouhani:

Tehran (IP) - Iranian president said that Iran's resistance has repealed UN resolutions against the country.

Iran Press/Iran News: Attending the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Hassan Rouhani stated that July 14 was registered in the Iranian calendar for dialogue and constructive interaction with the world.

He noted that it was July 14, 2015, that Iran reached an agreement; hence, July 14 was named the day of dialogue and constructive interaction with the world.

Rouhani pointed out that one of the main and important goals of his administration was to realize the rights of the Iranian nation in the field of modern technologies, trade, economy, and production.

He referred to the seven UN security council resolutions passed against Iran and said these resolutions had been under Chapter 7 of the UN charter and nothing could be done against them.

Rouhani went on to say that when a country is issued a Security Council resolution under Chapter Seven, either that country is forced to implement it, or it sometimes leads to war.

"But it is unique in the history of the United Nations that a country stands up and resists until those resolutions are eventually repealed without implementation," he concluded.

We are capable of reaching 90%-enriched uranium

Pointing to the anniversary of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action's (JCPOA) approval, Iran's President said that the country's nuclear program was still going on and appeared more spectacular in recent months.

He also said that the Israeli, Saudi, US, and other reactionary regimes in the region were opposing the approval of the JCPOA from the very beginning and emboldened the US ex-President Donald Trump to exit the agreement so that to put the burden of that on Iran.

Rouhani added: "Their calculations turned out to be wrong and they did not achieve any of their main goals. Their main goal was to dismantle [the Islamic Republic] system and bring its economy to a collapse, but they failed".

He highlighted the stability of Iran's nuclear industry in the JCPOA, and its capability of producing 20% and 60%-enriched uranium, noting:

"Even if one day we need 90% [enriched uranium] for our reactors, we have no problem and we can do anything in a peaceful way; this is the power that Iran can show."

Referring to the nullification of resolutions adopted against Iran under Article 7 of the UN's Charter, Iran's President recalled that the successes were achieved thanks to the resistance of the Iranian nation.
