Tehran (IP) - The Commander of Iran's Joint Air Defense Headquarters said that very good progress has been made in upgrading air defense system equipment and training specialists.

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Brigadier General Ghader Rahimzadeh stated that the air defense systems, including combat, operation, collection, and electronic warfare systems, were updated in accordance with due threats.

General Rahimzadeh emphasized monitoring all activities in the region as one of the tasks of air defense and said that preparing and upgrading air defense equipment in accordance with the threats is on its agenda. 

He said that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran had made the highest progress under the sanctions and had in fact fulfilled the slogan "we can".

"The air defense systems in Iran are interconnected in the form of networks, and this has ensured security and authority in the Iranian sky," the military official added.

Rahimzadeh told Iran Press that air defense systems in Iran are network-oriented such that all commands were issued through the network and with very secure communication channels.

"Each air defense system with new technology will be put into operation, training will be provided in accordance with that system, and specialists in training courses will receive the necessary skills," he concluded.
