Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Parliament Speaker announced the enrichment of uranium up to 60% enrichment.

Iran Press/Iran news: "I am proud to announce that at 00:40 last night, Iranian scientists were" able to obtain 60% enriched uranium," Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly, tweeted on Friday.

Ghalibaf added: "I congratulate the brave people of Islamic Iran on this success; saying "The will of the Iranian people is miraculous and will thwart any conspiracy."

The Islamic Republic of Iran has suspended some voluntary actions under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action since February 23 under the Law of "Strategic Action to lift Sanctions and Protect the Rights of the Iranian Nation."

Pursuant to paragraphs 26 and 36 of the JCPOA, Iran has the right to suspend its obligations, in whole or in part, if the other party fails to comply with its obligations.

Iran has stressed that it is ready to return to its commitments if sanctions are lifted and Iran benefits from JCPOA.
