Tehran (IP) – Iranian president's chief of staff says the message of 60% uranium enrichment is peaceful, noting that the Zionist regime was behind the Natanz incident.

Iran Press/Iran News: At the end of today's cabinet meeting and responding to Iran Press' question, Mahmoud Vaezi stated that the goal of 60 percent uranium enrichment had been announced in a note to the International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA).

He noted that the longer the Vienna talks, the greater the pressure of sanctions on Iran.

He pointed out that although the new US administration had announced that the maximum pressure policy had failed, it was following the Trump administration's steps and maintaining sanctions.

"On the other hand, we witnessed a terrorist sabotage at the Natanz nuclear site and based on the available evidence, the Israeli regime is behind the act, and Iran's new move to enrich uranium to 60% is a natural consequence of the other side's actions," Vaezi said.

Regarding Sergey Lavrov's visit to Tehran, he stated that all aspects of cooperation had been discussed, one of which was the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

He noted that the Russians had always expressed their support.
