Vienna (IP) - The European Union (EU) announced in a statement that a meeting of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) parties will be held in Vienna on Thursday, April 17, at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers and Political Directors of Iran and the P4 + 1 Group.

Iran Press/Europe: The statement, a copy of which was posted on the EU website, said the meeting is to be chaired by Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary-General of the EU External Action Service, with representatives from Iran, France, Germany, Britain, China, and Russia.

The statement said participants would continue to discuss the prospect of a possible return of the United States to the JCPOA and to ensure that the agreement is fully and effectively implemented.

The 18th round of meetings of the JCPOA Joint Commission was held online on April 4, with the participation of political deputies of Iran and the P5 + 1 countries.

At the meeting, the representatives of the countries decided to continue the talks in a face-to-face meeting in Vienna.

Currently, two working groups on sanctions and nuclear measures are working in parallel to develop the necessary measures.
