Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking on Wednesday on the occasion of the anniversary of the historical uprising of the people of Tabriz on February 18, 1978, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei stated: "The Islamic intellectual foundation is against the hegemon. This foundation is taken from Islam. In the Imam's statements, this foundation is explained in detail."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that the intellectuals of the Islamic system must flourish this foundation of thought day by day, adding: "New questions arise, new answers are needed."
The Leader stated that this intellectual foundation is necessary, but in practice, some measures are also needed. "What is needed in practice? Do not be afraid, do not get tired, do not despair, do not be lazy, do not unknowingly enter into the enemy's plan, and do not help him. These are necessary in practice. Be ready to sacrifice. You have to sacrifice, you have to take your life in your hand ... Like Martyr Lt Gen Qasem Soleimani, you took your life in your hand and entered various fields."
He added that of course, the Iranian nation, fortunately, has these characteristics. "Honestly, the people of Iran are not tired, so you saw the examples. In the funeral of Martyr Soleimani, and later on the 22nd of Bahman this year, with these coronavirus conditions, how they entered the stage with a new initiative and did not allow the 22nd of Bahman to be closed."
