The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Nigeria has said that Iran does not concern or worry about the intensifying of a military build-up in the region, noting that the Islamic Republic is monitoring all the US movement and Iran is in full readiness for any kind of aggression by the enemies of humanity.

Why it matters:

The United States deploys military equipments with U.S. President Donald Trump threatening to attack Iran, on the other side, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that Iran has complete control of the Strait of Hormoz. In a powerful message, IRGC Navy Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Mohammad Akbarzadeh said "Iran is not seeking war, but it is fully prepared.

As the United States sent its Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the region, reports indicate that the Islamic Republic of Iran has conveyed that it is not seeking war, but its Armed Forces remain in a state of full readiness.

The Iranian ambassador in Abuja, Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja  said "This recent military deployment of the United States in the region, we are monitoring them, and we are not concerned about it because we are in full readiness in order to react harshly to any kind of military intervention by the United States or any other countries."

Reacting to the support of the Nigerian Government and its people to Iran during the 12-day imposed War with Israel and the US, the Iranian ambassador said, "We really appreciate the position of the Nigerian Government during the 12-day war six months ago. Nigeria stayed in a very good positive position.
