Tehran (IP): Iranian President stated that Iran’s Constitution is one of the most significant constitutions in the world.

Iran PressIran news: Hassan Rouhani said on Monday morning at the conference on Fundamental Rights and Citizenship: "People's votes play a very important role, but unfortunately we do not have a party system in our country. When you rely on the votes of the people in a country, if you do not have a party system, it becomes a bit difficult."

The President continued: "But if it is a party system, it is easier. In the party system, they constantly discuss and determine the framework. Our system and constitution are not partisan and are not based on the party."

President Rouhani added: "The constitution has not been changed for 31 years. Earlier, after the demise of Imam Khomeini, the constitution was amended, but the constitution has not changed in 31 years and may change sometime."

"Our constitution is one of the most significant constitutions in the world and we can be proud of it," he added. “Since 1358 that this constitution was drafted, it is something that can be presented in the world as a modern constitution, especially where it referred to the rights of the nation.”
