The ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva sent a letter to the head of the Non-Aligned Movement and called for the reaction of the member states to the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Iran PressEurope: In his letter, Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh pointed to the existence of serious evidence of the Israeli regime's role in the assassination and described the act as the sheer violation of international law, human rights, and all moral values.

Baghaei Hamaneh also warned over the dangerous consequences of the warmongering state terrorism for the rule of law, peace, and international security. 

Elaborating on the scientific and research services of Fakhrizadeh, including the production of corona diagnostic kits and also the management of the COVID-19 vaccine production project in Iran, he said the assassination of Iranian scientist was a clear sign of the malice of the assassins to prevent Iran's scientific growth and prosperity.

He stressed that keeping silence over the crime makes it normalized and disseminated, and pointed out that the cruel act of state terrorism indicates its elements' disregard of human rights and basic civil values, which requires the decisive condemnation of all countries.  

Earlier, the Iranian envoy sent a letter to the UN's High Commissioner of Human Rights Michelle Bachelet emphasized the firm response of the UN human rights mechanisms to the assassination of the Iranian prominent scientist. 

Last Friday, armed terrorists martyred Mohsen Fakhrizadeh the head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense and Support of the Iranian Armed Forces and a scientist in the country's nuclear industry.

So far, many countries, including Russia, Venezuela, South Africa and Turkey, have condemned the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. 219
