Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Saturday condemned the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Iran Press/Middle East: Hamas said in a statement, "We condemn the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Fakhrizadeh."

The statement stressed, "This assassination coincided with the incessant threats of the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran to deprive the country and the Islamic Ummah of access to the tools of scientific progress and power to make any progress only in the monopoly of the occupying Zionist regime and its expansionist project, which has targeted the entire Islamic Ummah."

"We offer our condolences to the Muslim nation of Iran and the leaders of this country on the martyrdom of this nuclear scientist, and we believe in the power of Iran and the Islamic Ummah to compensate for this damage with more work and progress," Hamas added.

The media mainstream reported on Friday, quoting Zionist sources, that Tel Aviv may have been involved in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Fakhrizadeh.
