Tehran (IP) - Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Research and Innovation Organisation Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, was martyred in a terrorist attack on the outskirts of Tehran on Friday evening.

Iran Press/commentary: This is not the first time that an Iranian scientist has been targeted by a terrorist attack. Given the similar cases of these assassinations in previous years; Two basic questions arise:

First of all; What is the motive and purpose of assassinating scientists, especially the nuclear elites of the Islamic Republic of Iran?

Secondly, the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists is planned by which governments and terrorist organizations, and with what elements contribution?

Undoubtedly, one of the aims of these assassinations is to disrupt Iran's growth and development in scientific, defense and nuclear science. The assassinated Iranian personalities were scientists and did not pose any threat to other countries. The only reason for their assassination was fear of their knowledge and the progress of the Iranian nation. Martyr Fakhrizadeh is also one of the prominent scientists and one of the five Iranian personalities in the list of the 500 most powerful people in the world which has been introduced by the American Magazine Foreign Policy.

But in answering to the second question, it must be said that the agents of the Zionist regime have already assassinated several Iranian nuclear scientists. The assassinations of Manouchehr Shahriari and Massoud Ali Mohammadi are among these terrorist acts. The assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh has also been covered by news circles from the same angle.

Al-Mayadin news network in a report after the news of the assassination of a prominent Iranian scientist was published citing the Zionist media, referred to the possible involvement of Tel Aviv in the assassination, pointing to Netanyahu's recent remarks; "I've done a lot of things this week that I can't talk about all of them."

In March 2019, Israeli security journalist and analyst Ronen Bergman revealed that Mossad had identified 15 Iranian scientists and targeted six of them, mostly on their way to work in the morning, with bombs attached to their cars.

The German newspaper Der Spiegel also wrote in a report after the martyrdom of Dariush Rezaian; The assassination of Iranian scientists is the job of Mossad.

The names of some assassinated scientists in the secret reports of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the access of Zionist organizations to the secret information of the IAEA; another important issue at the time was the significant connection between these events and the assassinations.

"The assassination of Iranian scientists is a joint project between Israel and the United States," the American analyst Seymour Hersh wrote in an article; The United States has long trained a group of hypocrites in the Nevada desert to carry out  act of sabotage and assassination operations.

While the countries claiming to fight terrorism try to make Iran a perpetrator of terrorism and insecurity at every opportunity with fabricated accusations and various scenarios, it remains to be seen how these terrorist acts will be condemned by the international community.

The enemies of the Iranian nation have shown that in order to achieve their goals, they have not spared any efforts to committed any crime including the assassination of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force, who played a major role in destroying ISIS and fighting terrorism backed by the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia; until the physical elimination and assassination of Iranian scientists in the field of science and. These crimes will definitely be pursued and answered. Although the loss of elites and scientists like Mohsen Fakhrizadeh is a loss for the Iranian nation, but the designers of these crimes have again made a calculation error, because scientific developments have been institutionalized in Iran and the path of these martyrs will certainly be followed with stronger determination.
