US President Donald Trump tweeted an amnesty to his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.

Iran Press/America: Trump recently claimed that his former national security adviser had been treated unfairly and was seeking his pardon.

Flynn was accused in 2017 of lying to the FBI about his dealings with the then Russian ambassador to the United States in the weeks before Trump entered the White House.

Michael Flynn has tried to drop the charges, saying prosecutors violated his rights and tricked him into making the confession.

Michael Flynn was Trump's national security adviser for only 24 days, after which he was fired.

White House officials have revealed that Trump is pardoning himself, his family and near friends to escape punishment before the end of his presidency. 219
