Tehran (IP) – An Iranian petrochemical facility, Martyr Tondgouyan Petrochemical Plant, has operated beyond expectations by producing 107,000 tons of petrochemicals, 104 percent of its installed capacity in the period between October 21 and November 20, 2020, the National Petrochemical Company website.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to the company, the plant supplied 107,000 tons of petrochemicals during the period, marked as the 8th month in the Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21.

The production enhancement was made possible by removing production bottlenecks in various processes and operations of the facility.

The purpose of the plant is to produce over a million tons of polyethylene terephthalate before 2021.

Martyr Tondgouyan Petrochemical Plant is the largest producer of important and strategic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) products and pure terephthalic acid (PTA) in the country; the company consists of three production departments including chemical, polymer, and textile.
