Araghchi says US Presidential Election has no impact on Iran's policy

Tehran (IP) - Referring to the US presidential election, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister said on Saturday that the results of the US presidential election would not affect the main policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi commented on the effects of the US presidential election's results, adding that Iran's principled policies, based on countering domination, and resisting illegal pressures, will not be affected by the US election.

"The hegemonic and bullying policy of the United States will not change with the change of the president in this country, but with the change of individuals, new methods and approaches may dominate the American policy," Araghchi said.

The deputy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized that in case of new conditions, the Islamic Republic of Iran will adopt appropriate methods and solutions accordingly to secure its interests and to counter any new pressures or new possible threats.

On Saturday, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani stressed that those behind sanctions against Iran should realize that their path is wrong and that they will not achieve their goals in any way, saying they would better come back to all their commitments.
