Tehran (IP) - Homayoun Sameyah Najafabadi, president of the Jewish Association of Iran, said that French President Emmanuel Macron's remarks about freedom of expression have caused concern world-wide.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, the Jewish figure added: "In all religions, including Judaism and especially Islam, respect for the sanctities is one of the obligations of all religions."

Homayoun Sameyah Najafabadi said: "Mr. Macron's methods and words about Muslims and freedom of expression and insult, have caused concern all over the world."

"We have never seen any Muslim insult Jesus or Moses, and Muslims do not expect insults to their sanctities from other religions or people," he added.

"Unfortunately, Makran wants to exploit what was done in France to create Islamophobia and anti-Islamism in the world, but he will not achieve his goal," he added.

He said: "People of the world are aware, and the stance taken by the countries against his words shows that he is very irrational." "I am confident that Mr. Macron will be forced to apologize soon for the stance taken by the countries of the world against France and the boycott of its goods."
