The joint specialized air defense drills codenamed 'Modafe'an-e Aseman-e Velayat 99' ('Velayat-99 Sky Defenders') were successfully completed by achieving the predetermined goals.

Iran Press/Iran News: At the end of the exercise, Commander of the joint drills, Brigadier General Amir Qader Rahimzadeh underscored the very good acceleration of the Iranian Air Defense Units, saying that the Air Defense has been able to deal with standoff targets.

Brigadier General Rahimzadeh added: "Ensuring that the Iranian Armed Forces have a strong and responsive integrated network against any enemy threat in the field of air defense, and ensuring the very high capability of Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base (the central headquarters of Iran’s Air Defense) in coordinating the air defense units of the army and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in different situations were among the achievements of the drills."

Regarding the message of the drills for the countries in the region and Iran's neighbors, Rahimzadeh said: "These drills will improve the security of the region, and all neighbors should know that security in the region is possible only with the cooperation of countries in the region, and the presence of foreign countries and arrogant powers will only disrupt security."
