Iranians are holding mourning rituals nationwide on Friday, which coincides with the 28th day of the lunar month of Safar, to mark the anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s passing as well as the martyrdom of his grandson, Imam Hassan (PBUH), the second Shia Imam.

Iran PressIran news: Friday 28 Safar 1442 AH, equal to October 16, 2020, is the anniversary of the pass-away of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS), the second Imam of the Shias of the world.

Before his demise in 11 AH, the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) compassionately stated the rules and principles of the Prophetic Shari'a (Islam religion) in a pleasant and at the same time firm manner, trying to promote and spread the teachings of the Islam and guide it in the best possible way.

He taught humans that there is no difference between the black and white, poor and rich, woman and man but in (Taqwa) piety. the more pious and righteous, the more honored in the sight of Allah.

Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS), the second Imam of the Shias of the world served with his noble father Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS), the first Imam of the Shias of the world, for about thirty years Was poisoned. 

At Safar28, 50 AH, at the age of 47, Imam Hassan (AS) was poisoned martyred by his wife and by the order of Mu'awiyah Ibn Abu Sufyan. 101
