Tehran (IP) - At the 15th open session of the court hearing to address the MKO group case, the Iranian court called on the countries that sheltered MKO members to repatriate them.

Iran PressIran news: Judge Amir-Reza Dehghani said: The anti-terrorism conventions consider the jurisdiction of governments in prosecuting and punishing those accused of terrorist acts within the jurisdiction of criminal courts and are based on the principle of extradition and punishment of the accused, so, governments are obliged to hand terrorists over to another government that requests extradition.

During the court session held on Tuesday, Judge Dehghani said that dealing with terrorist acts has principles that do not allow member states of anti-terrorism conventions to host terrorists or issue visas to them.

According to the Criminal Procedure Law, notices have been sent to all the accused in the case, he said and added that neither a lawyer nor a bill has been sent to the court by any of the defendants.

Dehghani stated that Iranians are the biggest victims of terrorism, complaining that there is no permanent international criminal court with the authority to deal with cases of terrorist incidents.

The defendants should know that the judicial actions of the court and its arrangements based on international rules will continue until the last legal step, so the court declares with full authority that extradition is an accepted international solution to the MKO case.

MKO is a West-Back notorious group that assassinated more than 17,000 people in Iran by carrying out terrorist attacks.
