Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Acting President told the Omani Foreign Minister that there are unused economic capacities between the two countries, which in case being utilized Iran-Oman trade ties will increase to several times the current level.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Omani FM Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi arrived in Tehran on Monday, leading a delegation, and met with the Iranian Acting President Mohammad Mokhber and the Acting FM Ali Bagheri. 

Late President Raisi and his Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, along with two top officials of the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan, and four other people on board the helicopter were returning from a dam inauguration ceremony on Iran’s border with the Republic of Azerbaijan when the helicopter crashed into forests in Varzaqan region.

Mohammad Mokhber appreciated the sympathy of the Omani nation and government with Iran over the recent tragedy and put emphasis on the consistency of late President Raisi's policy in expanding ties with Oman. 

Al-Busaidi, for his part, wished for the continuation of Raisi's policy and the realization of his goals in Iran's synergizing with the Islamic countries including Oman.

He described the relations between Iran and Oman as strategic and important and emphasized his country's interest in expanding relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various areas.
