The Syrian Foreign Minister condemned the US stance against Iran and called for an end to Washington's hostile actions against Tehran.

Iran PressMiddle East: Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem in a virtual speech at the 75th UN General Assembly said: "Syria reiterates support for the Islamic Republic of Iran's stance against US policy of violating the nuclear deal and destabilizing the region.

He emphasized that this hostile policy reveals the extent to which the US government is disregarding international law and how Washington is not respecting its obligations under international agreements."

The Syrian Foreign Minister also condemned the brutal economic blockade against Cuba and Venezuela and stressed the need to respect the sovereign rights of these two countries and not interfering in their internal affairs.

Al-Muallem further said that the continued presence of American and Turkish forces on Syrian soil as an occupation.

Walid al-Muallem stated that Israel's actions against Syria are taking place in the shadow of the silence of the international community. He added that "Israel" continues to violate the rights of the Syrian people in the occupied Golan Heights and directly supports terrorists on Syrian soil.
