Iran PressMiddle East: Mohammad Karim, a member of the “al-Sadiqoun” parliamentary faction in the Iraqi parliament, called on the Iraqi government to oblige Washington to respect Iraq's sovereignty and withdraw its forces from the country in negotiations with the United States.

Fatah Alliance spokesman Ahmad al-Asadi also said that the coalition had informed Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi of its opposition with staying of US forces in Iraq.

Hassan al-Janabi, a representative of the “Araqioun” coalition, also said that talks between Baghdad and Washington could not prevent the implementation of the Iraqi parliament's resolution on the expulsion of American troops.

Negotiations between Iraq and the United States continue on various issues, including the presence of US troops.

After his recent visit to the United States, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi was quoted President Donald Trump as saying that US troops would leave Iraq within three years.
