Mohammad Ebrahim Taherianfard, Special Representative of the Iranian Foreign Minister for Afghanistan

Tehran (IP)- Reacting to the US Special Representative's remarks, the special envoy of Iran's foreign minister for Afghanistan, said that Iran supports peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Iran Press/Asia: Mohammad Ebrahim Taherianfard, Special Representative of the Iranian Foreign Minister for Afghanistan, said on Sunday: "The Islamic Republic of Iran supports peace and stability in Afghanistan."

Taherianfard also emphasizes the need to establish peace based on the results of the inter-Afghan talks led by Afghanistan.

Taherianfard also advised US officials to carefully study these positions before commenting on the views of the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran on regional and Afghan issues.

Zalmai Khalilzad, the US special envoy to Afghanistan, recently claimed in a statement that Iran did not fully support efforts to bring peace to Afghanistan.
