Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman denied allegations regarding the 25-year deal between Iran and China, saying that the claims are not even worth denying.

Iran Press/Iran News: Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, in response to the recent claims published in cyberspace regarding the 25-year deal between Iran and China, said: "According to the 2015 agreement between the Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China, Hassan Rouhani and Xi Jinping, which is reflected in the sixth paragraph of the statement of the visit of Chinese President to Tehran, the two countries explicitly expressed their political will to develop and deepen the strategic relationship."

"They decided to draw up a comprehensive 25-year roadmap between the two countries to lay the ground for the comprehensive development of political and economic relations between Iran and China in the coming years," he added.

"The initial draft of this document has been prepared with the participation of specialized institutions of the two countries and is currently in the negotiation stage. Obviously, after the negotiations are finalized, the document will be submitted to the people's representatives in the Parliament for the legal process," Foreign Ministry Spokesman noted.

Referring to the hostile reaction of the US State Department Spokesman, Mousavi added: "Undoubtedly, the strategic relations between Iran and China, which have key mutual interests for the people of the two countries, have enemies who make every effort to defeat these negotiations and cause the failure of this document."

Mousavi rejected allegations such as the rent of Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf, the monopoly of selling oil at low prices, the deployment of the Armed Forces, and so on, saying that the claims are not even worth denying.

"Negotiations have been held with full precision and obsession, which, God willing, the Iranian people will soon see its results," the Iranian diplomat said.

In the end, the Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed hope that the document would be finalized in the near future, adding that it is obvious that no text is valid until the end of the negotiations, and therefore we ask the media to refrain from republishing texts that are prepared and published for various purposes.
