Iraj Masjedi, Iran\'s ambassador to Baghdad

During a meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Iran's ambassador to Baghdad stressed that the Islamic Republic is ready to increase scientific and academic cooperation with Iraq.

Iran PressIran News: During the meeting, Iraj Masjedi congratulated the election of 'Nabil Abdul Sahib' as Iraq's Minister of Higher Education in the cabinet of "Mustafa al-Kazemi" and expressed hope that during his tenure, scientific, and academic cooperation will be further strengthened and expanded.

Iran's envoy in Iraq also hoped that Iranian and Iraqis elites, academics, and scholars will be able to use scientific achievements for serving the people of two countries.

Abdul Sahib, the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education noted to the scientific progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields, express his pleasure to expand scientific and academic exchanges between two countries and further exchange of students between two countries.

Currently, about 6,000 Iraqi students are studying in higher education centers and various universities in Iran.205/219
