Tehran (IP) - The 20th meeting of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the International Union of Islamic Export Guarantee Funds was held in the presence of Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: According to the Export Guarantee Fund of Iran (EGFI), the 20th meeting of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the International Union of Islamic Export Guarantee Funds (AMAN UNION) was held through video conference. 

The Export Guarantee Fund of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which became a member of the Board of Directors of the General Assembly of the AMAN UNION in 2019 for two years, along with the Export Guarantee Funds of Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and ICIEC Multilateral Institutions affiliated with the Islamic Development Bank, and the Kuwait-based Dhaman is made up of members of the union's board of directors.

Arash Shahraeini, a member of the board of directors of the Export Guarantee Fund of Iran, represented the Fund at the meeting of the union's board of directors.

Approval of the 2019 financial statements and the 2020 budget, review of the coronavirus crisis on members performance, the creation of AMAN Union Award for Successful Institutions in Export Credit Insurance, the formation of triple committees to monitor the issuance of short-term, long-term, and investment, as well as the establishment of a permanent secretariat were on the agenda of the meeting. 

AMAN UNION is a professional forum assembling Commercial & Non-commercial Risks Insurers & Reinsurers in Member Countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference and of the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (DHAMAN).

AMAN UNION was launched on 28th October 2009 following an agreement between the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (DHAMAN) and the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) to join their efforts for establishing a union for commercial and non-commercial risks Insurers and Reinsurers in their respective Member Countries.
