Biden surges in Super Tuesday voting

The Democratic nomination race is down to the wire between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, with Sanders winning the biggest prize of the night, California, and Joe Biden winning most states in eastern, northeastern and mid-western United States.

Iran PressAmerica: Democrats in 14 states cast their votes for who should be the party’s nominee to take on Donald Trump in November.

With partial results already announced Joe Biden has won Massachusetts, Arkansas, Minnesota, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, North Carolina and Virginia primaries.

His main rival, Bernie Sanders has won California, Utah, Colorado and Vermont primaries.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar appeared to criticize Elizabeth Warren for not dropping out of the race as Joe Biden notched several victories in Super Tuesday states.

Omar, one of the four progressive congresswomen known as “the Squad,” is a top surrogate for Bernie Sanders, and Warren will likely face increasing calls from his supporters to suspend her campaign after Super Tuesday.

Bernie Sanders’ victory in California is a significant boost for the Vermont senator. California is the most delegate-rich state of the entire Democratic primary.
