Iranian Energy Minister said that Iran and Eurasia had good discussions about the first stage of the implementation of Iran-Eurasia agreement and many questions were raised by the Iranian exporters and also they agreed to establish a joint task force.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Eurasian Union is the economic union to which Iran pays much attention. Given Iran's current situation and sanctions imposed by the West on Iran, Tehran's proximity to such a regional economic union could play an important role in Iran's economic prosperity. To this end, the Eurasia Conference was held in Iran a long time ago, and it was followed by the establishment of the Iran-Eurasia Business Center in Armenia. In this regard, the Iran Press reporter asked the Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian's opinion.

"The Secretariat of Eurasian Economic Forum is based in Moscow and I had invited the Secretariat, including the Secretary-General and some ministers, to visit Iran and organizing a forum inviting all businessmen as well as the producers to know more about the details of how to work together," Reza Ardakanian said.

"So two ministers from this Secretariat, one in charge of trade and the other for customs affairs participated in the meeting," Ardakanian added.

"We had the good discussions about the first stage of the implementation of Iran-Eurasia agreement and many questions were raised by the Iranian exporters and also they agreed to establish a joint task force," said the Energy Minister.

On May 17, 2018, the five-nation Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) signed a 3-year provisional agreement with Iran to welcome the Islamic Republic into the bloc’s free-trade zone.
