Iran Press/ Middle East: Local media said the settlers have set up tents around the mosque in a bid to insult Muslims who visit the complex revered both by Muslim and Jewish worshippers but divided after the 1994 massacre of 29 Palestinians by a Zionist settler.
The Ibrahimi Mosque is located in Al-Khalil's old enclave and is believed to be the burial sites of prophets Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaq (Issac) and Yaqub (Jacob).
Al-Khalil is home to about 400 settlers who are guarded by 1500 Israel troops while some150,000 Palestinians live in the city.
