Iran Press/ Europe: On the 40th day after Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri's death, a group of scholars, thinkers, political, cultural, and religious figures of Iran and Russia participated in a meeting to commemorate the prominent role of Mr. Taskhiri in the proximity of all religions.
The participants at the meeting, which was held in person and online, emphasized that Taskhiri spent his entire life in bringing the Shia and Sunnis closer together and was the most unforgettable person of unity and empathy in the Islamic world.
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, the late Chairman of the Supreme Council of the World Assembly for the Proximity of Islamic Schools and Advisor to the Leader of the Revolution on Islamic World Affairs, died of heart failure on August 18 at the age of 76.
Dozens of books and hundreds of articles have been written or translated by the Muslim thinker.
