Tehran (IP) - The Constitutional Council Spokesman announced the approval of the bill for the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Use of Electronic Communications in International Agreements and said: This bill was not found to be against the law and Sharia standards.

Iran PressIran News: In his press brief on Oct.7, 2023, Hadi Tahan-Nazif said that the draft agreement between Iran and Belarus in the field of promoting bilateral trade was found to be against the constitution due to the use of non-Persian words.

The Constitution Council Spokesman stated that the realization of the strategies of the Islamic Revolution Leader in the upcoming elections is important and is the basis of the actions of all institutions." 

Hadi Tahan-Nazif in response to Iran Press said: Since the beginning of 2023,  we have had several meetings to implement Leader's strategies. 

He further pointed out that the Constitution Council plays a major role in some strategies, all the bodies have duties towards the strategies respectively.

He expressed hope to provide more competition and participation in the implementation of the law.

CC Spox.: People welcome pre-registration for Parl. election

The Spokesman of Iran Guardian Council said the preregistration phase added to the election law of the country was welcomed by the people registered as the candidates for the coming parliamentary elections.

Tahan-Nazif said that the pre-registration helps the candidates in that it verifies the candidates' documents presented, sending them the be examined by the relevant entities in a technical way, thus protecting the rights of the candidates. 

He said that the Ministry of Interior is in the process of the verification, where some who registered have had objections and the ministry is addressing them.  

Tahan-Nazif added that the time to examine the documents presented has become more proportionate compared to the previous elections. 

He noted that like in the previous parliamentary election, candidates either independent or party-affiliated will participate, noting the council has no partisan bias. 

The Spokesman of the Guardian Council also told reporters that for the first time, student organizations visited the council's court and paused their questions. 

He said the meetings would be continued with the presence of the press.
