Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the UK's Charge D'Affairs over London's non-constructive acts and meddlesome expressions.

Iran PressIran news:  The Director-General of the Western Europe Department of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Isabelle Marsh, the British chargé d'affaires ad interim, on Thursday over the non-constructive acts of the UK government.

The Iranian top diplomat considered the comments and positions of the British authorities as well as their recent sanctions against Iran, as an illegal and interventionist action.

He told Marsh that the continuation of the UK's non-constructive approach is not acceptable, and will definitely face the Islamic Republic of Iran's countermeasure response.

He advised the British authorities to take a glance at their past experiences to evade the well-known traps of the Zionist regime and terrorist groups.

"The country (UK) that exercises the most severe discrimination against the migrants and Muslims and send the asylum seekers forcibly to Rwanda in contravention of the international law is in no position to comment on human rights,” the Iranian diplomat added.

The British government announced on Thursday 13 Iranian officials and organizations on its sanctions list for human rights charges.

A day before, on Wednesday, the British government expressed concern in a joint statement with 52 other countries over human rights issues in Iran.

The UK chargé d'affaires was assigned to convey Iran’s protest to London.
