Being manager, resourceful criteria set for Iran's presidential candidates

Resuming the review of amending the Presidential Election Law articles, Iran's MPs determined the criteria for being 'manager' and 'resourceful' for the candidates.

Iran PressIran News: In today's (Sunday) public session, during the review of the bill to amend the articles of the Presidential Election Law, the members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly approved Article 4 of the bill with 187 votes in favor, 33 against, and 4 abstentions from the 247 MPs present.

According to Article 4 of the bill to amend the articles of the Presidential Election Law, the criteria for being 'manager' are:

A candidate is known as a 'manager' who has the necessary competencies and skills in the field of senior management of the country and with sufficient knowledge of the human and material resources of the country and able to use the capacity to achieve the goals of the Islamic Revolution and benefit from successful experience and records in the field of macro-management.

The note of this paragraph also states:

Having records related to the fight against poverty, corruption, and discrimination, merit selection, having jihadi-style and group work spirit, sensitivity to the treasury, dealing with violations and deviations, and the spirit of accepting criticisms and responding to the Guardian Council are among the characteristics of being a 'manager' at the Islamic Republic of Iran's level.

The criteria for being 'resourceful' are:

A candidate is known as a 'resourceful' person who can identify the issues and needs of the country and adopt appropriate solutions and make major decisions by anticipating the threats and opportunities of the country.
