Iran news: The second-in-command of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has said, in the last 40 years, Basij (volunteer) defused the plots of the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On Sunday, the second-in-command of Iran's IRGC, Brigadier General Hossein Salami, on the sidelines of a Basij commanders gathering in Tehran told reporters, the Basij massive community is the renewal of the covenant made by the Basijis with Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic and the designer of the Islamic Revolution.

Brigadier General Salami added the Basijis would continue to adhere to the values ??of the Islamic Revolution, Tasnim news agency reported.
He said, "With the enthusiasm that I saw today among the Basijis, we will be able to defeat the enemy."
Brigadier General Salami added, "Basij defense of the Islamic Revolution is defense of Islamic Identity, Islamic Ummah and Iran nation; and God willing, with the passion that is in Basij the defense will continue." 210/103
