Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Head of Baqiyatallah hospital Hossein Samadinia stated that this hospital is considered as the most important hospital of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the biggest one in fighting COVID-19.
Samadinia noted that over 14,000 outpatients and 2,700 inpatients were visited and cured in Baqiyatallah hospital during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Highlighting the facilities and equipment of the hospital, he said that three CT scans, 2 MRI devices, and ICUs are available here and no one's life was endangered because of the lack of facilities.
The official highlighted that although we have enough doctors and staff here, some of them have not come back to their homes for more than three weeks, and what they do is sacrifice.
Head of Baqiyatallah hospital referred to voluntary activities in this hospital and said that many people including medical university students, intern students go there every day helping the medical staff.
Referring to IRGC's achievements in containing Coronavirus, he said that the production line of the N95 mask was launched in the hospital, while many parts of the world have problems in procuring protective equipment.
Samadinia concluded that many kinds of research are being done in IRGC and Baqiyatallah university and there will be good news in the near future.
